Abstract
Description
BRE’s GreenPrint methodology will help design teams to deliver masterplans that maximise the environmental sustainability of a site development. It can be applied to a wide range of building developments from residential to business. GreenPrint focuses on issues that a developer can influence, taking account of a sites strengths and weaknesses as well as local priorities, policies and targets. Such issues include mitigating the effects of, and adapting to, climate change, reducing transport requirements and offering planning solutions with the least environmental impact. In construction projects, these issues can be measured using economic, environmental and social indicators.
