by K Maun (01-Jul-1998)

Book Description

Please note that this is a scanned copy of a paper originally published in 1998, so the text is not as clear as in documents created as pdf files.

Digest 417 lists 16 lesser known species of timber that show potential for new or wider application in construction. Digest 431 gives the results of tests carried out on each of these species and also recommends end-use applications for each of them. Part 1 describes the technical assessment methods used. Subsequent parts describe in detail the findings and recommendations for each type of timber.

This Part (Part 2) gives results and recommendation for bintangor, hevea (rubberwood), kamarare, niove, taun, and Ghanaian plantation teak.
