Book Description

The Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) is the design tool produced by the Passivhaus Institut to model the performance of a proposed Passivhaus building. The Passivhaus must be modelled and verified using the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) whilst using the appropriate regional climatic dataset. The PHPP is intended for use by anyone involved in the design of a Passivhaus. 

The PHPP consists of 200 page paper user manual and CD containing the PHPP ‘Excel Based’ design tool and is compatible with both PC and Mac computers.

The PHPP contains a series of tools for:

• calculating energy balances
• calculating U-values
• designing comfortable ventilation
• calculating the heating and cooling load
• summer comfort calculations
• climate data entry
• and many other useful tools for reliable design of Passivhaus buildings
